Forty percent of food in the United States is never eaten, amounting to $165 billion a year in waste, taking a toll on the country's water resources and significantly increasing greenhouse gas emissions. Also, did you know that about 17,000 tons of food get wasted per year in Loudoun County? There no incentives in Viginia to seperate food waste from other waste and hence, they all get dumped in landfls, as apposed to being reused and recycled.
FoodDock will help connect food waste producers (schools and groceries) to consumers to make organic compost, which could be used in organic farming to help produce better nutrition rich foods.
Come and Join us to help spread the word!

Wasted Food
