Create Awareness
Today in Loudoun County, VA there are no mandates or incentives to separate food waste from regular trash. They are buried in landfill where they collect dust and take up valuable space. Let's put foodwaste for good use by composting. Sign the petition in Change.Org to make mandates/incentives and bring awareness to school and grocery stores who are the largest producer of food waste.
Collect & Connect
Foodock will collect both perishable and non-perishable food from grocery stores and schools. The non-perishable food will be sent to a foodbank, while food scraps (perishable) will be sent to a compost facility within a 50-mile radius.
Cultivate Greenery
Compost improves soil structure and increases nutrient content. Using compost helps plants use less water and ward off plant diseases. Compost can reduce or eliminate use of synthetic fertilizers. Our organization will help reserve the beautiful world that you see around you for future generations to enjoy!
